Office in the Clouds

In October of 2010, Microsoft announced its development of Office 365, the next generation of the Business Productivity Online Suite (BPOS). As the next step in the Microsoft Online Services portfolio, Office 365 will include the latest versions of Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Lync Online, and Office Professional Plus. This cloud-based service suite is slated to deliver the same list of features as the on-premise versions of the same productivity tools. Office 365 is a stride towards realizing and implementing the full potential of cloud-based solutions for a wide range of businesses.

Office 365 offers your company high-quality tools that enhance collaboration and effective communication. View e-mails, contacts, calendars, and documents from just about any web-enabled device. Collaborative tools such as video conferencing, instant messaging, and centralized document management allow colleagues to work together effectively from various locations.

Residing in the cloud, Office 365 is scalable, placing the same powerful tools in the hands of small, midsized, and large businesses.

Microsoft plans to release Office 365 sometime in late 2011 or early 2012. If you are interested in seeing firsthand how Office 365 can benefit your business, a beta sign up is available at http://office365.microsoft.com.

xRM is thrilled about the opportunities and possibilities that this exciting cloud service will bring, and we look forward to extending it to our customers once it is released.
