Supported versions of Internet Explorer

Microsoft Dynamics CRM will run in the following Internet Explorer versions:

  • Internet Explorer 11
  • Internet Explorer 10

Note: Although you may be able to use Internet Explorer 8 or Internet Explorer 9, those web browsers are not recommended and are not supported with Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2015.

Using plug-ins or other third-party extensions in your browser can increase load times on pages with lists of data.

Supported operating systems when you use Internet Explorer

The following operating systems are supported:

  • Windows 8.1 when you use Internet Explorer 11
  • Windows 8 supported when you use Internet Explorer 10
  • Windows 7 supported when you use Internet Explorer 10 or Internet Explorer 11

Other supported web browsers

In addition to Internet Explorer, the 2015 Microsoft CRM system will run on the following browsers:

  • Mozilla Firefox (latest publicly released version) running on Windows 8.1 or Windows 8, or Windows 7
  • Google Chrome (latest publicly released version) running on Windows 8.1 or Windows 8, or Windows 7, or Nexus 10 tablet
  • Apple Safari (latest publicly released version) running on Mac OS X 10.8 (Mountain Lion), 10.9 (Mavericks)

Note: Even though Microsoft lists Google Chrome as supported, xRM recommends that customers avoid Google Chrome 39 or earlier because we and others have discovered some unresolved compatibility issues in Chrome 39.

Note: Only Firefox and Chrome for Windows operating systems are compatible. If you want to run Dynamics CRM 2015 or CRM Online on Mac, you must use Safari.

Supported versions of Microsoft Office

To use Microsoft Dynamics CRM with Microsoft Office integration features, such as Export to Excel and Mail Merge, you will need to have one of the following versions of office:

  • Microsoft Office 365
  • Microsoft Office 2013
  • Microsoft Office 2010

Note: Microsoft Office 2007 is not supported with Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2015.

Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online Minimum Network Requirements

For this Microsoft CRM system, Microsoft recommends that your network have a bandwidth greater than 50 KBps (equivalent to 400 Kbps or 0.4 Mbps) and latency under 150 milliseconds.

  • Windows Server 2012 when running as a Remote Desktop Services application

Microsoft Dynamics CRM for Outlook software prerequisites

In order to run Microsoft Dynamics CRM for Outlook Setup, you will need to have one of the following web browsers installed:

  • Internet Explorer 10
  • Internet Explorer 11

Note: Internet Explorer 9 or earlier versions are not supported.

You will also need one of the following versions of Office for Windows. Microsoft Office for Mac is not supported:

  • Microsoft Office 2013
  • Microsoft Office 2010

Note: Microsoft Office 2007 is no longer supported.

Compatibility Notes

Partner-hosted and on-premises Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2015 is not currently compatible with Office 2016. It will become compatible after Microsoft resolves a bug discovered in Update 0.2 for Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2015 (7.0.2.0053).

Dynamics CRM App for Outlook is not available for on-premises or partner-hosted Microsoft Dynamics CRM. Microsoft currently does not support Windows Phones for on-premises or partner-hosted CRM deployments.
